Women’s discipleship intern 2018-01-15T21:33:33+00:00

Women’s Discipleship Intern

Sloan Street Presbyterian Church is a growing church in the city of Lisburn, Northern Ireland. We have a long history of Bible based and evangelistic ministry within our locality and have seen God at work in many ways over recent years. We are enthusiastic about developing people’s ministry skills, leading to us previously appointing a Ministry Apprentice in 2014 and Assistant Minister alongside a Youth Intern in 2016.

We are seeking a Women’s Discipleship Intern to work as part of the ministry team working primarily with females of secondary school and young adult age as well as new Christians, encouraging them to grow in their relationship with God.

This role involves delivering 1-to-1 discipleship and evangelism programs as well as being part of the leadership team in our teenage ministry on a Sunday morning. Previous experience of discipling young people would be desirable but a commitment to communicate the gospel and a willingness to learn are what we’re really looking for.

The post is for a fixed term of two years, beginning in July 2018. The internship is unpaid, although all expenses will be covered. The successful candidate will be enrolled to undertake a part time course at Cornhill Belfast for the duration of the internship.

Come and be mentored in Christian ministry and learn to serve God and His church in ever increasing ways.
